This Is The Best Time Of The Day To Have Sex, According To Science
Alright everyone, get out your planners.
According to hormone expert Alisa Vitti, the best time for a man and woman to have sex is 3pm. Which may require some organisation, given that most of us are at work around that time.
Alisa explained to the Daily Mail that a bit of afternoon delight works best for men and women, as in the afternoon women feel at their most alert and energetic – thanks to increase levels of cortisol – while men reach their peak levels of oestrogen, which makes them more emotionally present during sex.
So, 3pm is the ideal time for maximum mutual enjoyment of heterosexual sex.
Men actually have the best sex in the morning, when their testosterone levels are at their peak. But women feel more aroused and alert in the afternoon – so it’s best to wait for that rise of oestrogen, instead, for a more connected experience.
There’s just one issue. Most of us are at work during that time, and can’t exactly sneak off for a quickie.
So maybe try planning in sexy times for 3pm on the weekends, and then, you know, just do it whenever you fancy during the week.
Let’s be honest: if you’re with the right person, it’s going to be good either way.
And if you’re in a same-sex relationship, have at it whenever. Men will be ready to go in the morning, women do it better in the afternoon. Enjoy the fact that your sex drives line up, you lucky people.
