Lala Anthony Defends Going Topless In Power Sex Scenes.
The actress, 33, had people talking following her topless racy sex scenes, which she has come out to defend during an honest interview about her break-up.The scenes saw La La’s character LaKeisha Graham get steamy with Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora.
Speaking on the 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club show, Lala said:
‘I want to address this once and for all. The problem is people don’t know how to separate Lala from LaKeisha—that’s my character on Power,’ she explained.
‘My character is currently in a relationship with Tommy, and when you’re in a relationship, you have sex and you take your top off. You don’t have sex fully clothed. If I am a true actor, then that’s what I’m going to do,’
On if she has addressed the sex scenes with ex Carmelo, she admitted: ‘I try not to bring it up.’
‘He’s my best friend. When you’re with someone for 13 years since they were 19 years old, and you have a 10 year-old child, you’d hope that you guys would be cool. We are the best of friends.’
‘Don’t feel sorry for him! Feel sorry for me!’
‘I’m having a good time, I’m living my life — hell, I been through a lot,’ she also acknowledges. ‘I’m just enjoying it, having fun, and just really happy about where my life is right now,’ she added
