Drake on ghostwriting: Rapper admits he gets help sometimes

“I wasn’t thinking…I gotta get my brand up in Nigeria.” Drake on Ojuelegba Remix in his first extensive interview in more than a year which he granted Fader magazine.

Drake who covers the Magazine in its November edition speaks about his music, life, relationships and everything in between.

When asked about extending his audience to other markets now that he has conquered North America and if that was the motivation behind the Ojuelegba Remix, Drake was honest and said that wasn’t the case.

“I just did it because I was in the moment,” he says. “I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh man, I gotta get my brand up in Nigeria.’” (He hastens to add, with classic Drake politeness, “Not to say that’s not important. I’m super-honored to be on that song.”)
