Wole Soyinka Releases His ‘Nastiest’ Book Ever, ‘InterInventions’
Wole Soyinka launches InterInventions
Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has unveiled his latest book, titled InterInventions, Between Defective Memory and Public Lie, A Personal Odyssey in The Republic of Liars.
The book was unveiled on Saturday at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Soyinka termed the book as the “nastiest” book he had ever written, adding that it was for those who peddled public lies.
“InterInventions, is the nastiest book I have ever written,” he said. “It is so truthful that it hurts. It is my vengeance against public lies. It is not one of the butterfly books.
“I want to draw blood (with it). I’m warning all of you, if you feel vengeful, read this book and you will be alright. It is like homeopathic medicine.”
Present at the launch were Edo state governor Adams Oshiomole, Ogun state governor Ibikunle Amosun, and former Rivers state governor Rotimi Amaechi.
