Fast rising “Afro-pop Dancehall” Artist MYK D’ ORIGINAL whose real names are MICHAEL OWEYIE DICKSON hails from Bayelsa state born in the famous Ajegule City in Lagos and was raised in Satellite/Festac Town where he had his primary & secondary education. His dream was to be a footballer and play professional football Abroad like every other young boy back then in his hood ‘Satellite Town’ until music found him.

MYK D’ ORIGINAL describes his style of music as Afro-Pop Dance hall which he says are sounds that fingers the brains of its listeners and the song “CindErella” was inspired by a girl he used to know who was born into a poor home in a ghetto area of Lagos, her parents where practicing Christians who always encourage their daughter in the way of the Lord. Cinderella started hanging out with bad friends, staying out late at night, putting on expensive clothes, accessories etc. It was not so long Cindy became leader of her gang and became so popular in the neighborhood.
