Sean Tizzle Explains Why He Took The Long Break

The singer addresses his reasons for long stay away from the music scene, controversial circumstances that have trailed him, forthcoming project and more.

The ‘Sho le’ crooner talks about his growth since he dropped his last album, says a lot has changed, and has been away for a while to re-brand himself, get some creative space and experiment on different sounds.

On why he split with D’Tunes, he explains they’ve been friends even before the music, but had to move on when his contract expired to do his own thing and groom other artists as well.

He also talks about his partnership with producer Black Jersey, acknowledging Jersey’s input in the new Sean Tizzle’s music and asks that we wait on the EP to see how good they are together.

Tizzle also spoke about the Omawumi Adele cover drama where he says Omawumi’s cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’ is better than Adele’s original, calling it the weaker version.

“I’m human and have a right to my own opinion, I wasn’t trying to criticize or damage Adele’s work but for real Omawumi actually put work in it, and I’m only saying I think it’s high time we start appreciating ourselves as Africans,” he explains.

Speaking on his forthcoming EP, “Moving Forward Vol.1”, Sean Tizzle says he and his team have been working on it for about two years, the EP comes into about 22 tracks but has been split into about three volumes so the fans can ‘digest’ the tracks easily.

The ‘Loke Loke’ singer speaks on how the Tory Lanez ‘Hit n run’ collaboration came to bear, what success ultimately means to him, saying it’s not about the money but about how many lives you can touch. It’s more than music he says as he also talks about his planned philanthropic gesture.
