According to an Instagram post by EbonyFilms head, Mo Abudu, Kemi Adetiba‘s The Wedding Party now holds the record for the biggest weekend opening after making N36million in cinemas across Nigeria.

Widely-anticipated film, The Wedding Party finally opened in Nigerian cinemas on Friday, December 16, 2016.

The Wedding Party is a 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy/drama directed by Kemi Adetiba. It follows the shenanigans that go on during the planning of a wedding in Nigeria. Dunni a 24-year-old art gallery owner and only daughter of her parents, Engineer Bamidele and Mrs Tinuade Coker, is about to marry the love of her life, IT entrepreneur Dozie the handsome son of Felix and Obianuju Onwuka.
