REAL MADRID are ready to pay Cristiano Ronaldo’s tax bill to keep him at the club.

The ex-Manchester United star insists he wants to leave Spain after allegations of £12.9million fraud.

But Real will do everything to keep Ronaldo and are priming an offer to extend his £365,000-a-week deal by a year AND pay off any demands from authorities.

The Spanish giants dished out a £365,000-a-week deal last November to keep him at the club until 2021. He will now get that extended by a year plus a signing-on fee to cover any demands from the authorities.

Real are determined to keep hold of their star, who inspired their Champions League triumph last month, and have slapped a £175million price tag on his head.

He also has an £874million buy-out clause on his current deal for clubs to speak to him over a sensational switch.

Manchester United fans would love Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford but boss Jose Mourinho does not believe the player is about to leave – and feels the club will pay his tax as part of a new deal.

The 32-year-old, who does not drink a drop of alcohol and looks after his body so he can mix it with players 10 years younger, believes he has many years at the top, insisting after winning the Champions League last month.

He said: “My age is just a number, I feel like a young boy.”
