Ousmane Dembele’s huge Barcelona wages have been leaked

Ousmane Dembele’s Barcelona move was a costly affair. Not only did Barca have to pay Borussia Dortmund an initial €105 million, they also had to stump up big money for their new 20-year-old star.

Now, Football Leaks have revealed how much the Spanish side are giving Dembele. A France international, he will receive at least €12 million annually. With bonuses, he could receive up to €20 million in a good year.

Fans will probably be alarmed to hear about how much Dembele is earning. It doesn’t appear to adhere to much of a wage structure internally. By comparison, Real Madrid seem to have a better policy.

Turning down Mbappe

Los Blancos turned down the chance to sign Kylian Mbappe when they heard he wanted €12m annually. While they can afford to pay that wage, the fact that it would be significantly higher than the wage of key players like Toni Kroos led Madrid to tell Mbappe to sign for PSG. The French side have given the 18-year-old the wages he desired.
