Nightclubs and event centres in Lagos to lose millions of naira this weekend

Lagos State Government has shut down two of the biggest nightclubs in Ikeja, The Cave and Vegas.

Stating reasons for non-compliance with legal process of registration and payment of annual warrants.

Other party and event centres that suffered similar cessation this week include Balmoral, Yard 158, 10 Degrees, and The Haven.

According to Lagos State Head of Hotel Licensing Directorate, Barbara Wey: ‘All defaulting tourism and hospitality operators are enjoined to comply with the registration process and payment of all accrued dues in the State.’

It is sad news for party goers who would have hustled all week and would be looking forward to being entertained at the luxury venues this weekend.

The business owners will be losing millions of naira unless they quickly resolve the issue, while a lot of wedding ceremony plans are set to be obstructed.

When the issue will be resolved remains to be seen.
