That moment when Migos sprayed naira notes on stage
- Fans would have preferred they sprayed dollar notes though.
The US group Migos were among the performers who electrified the crowd at the BEAT FM Christmas concert that held at the Federal Palace Hotel only a few hours ago.
The rappers started performing at an exact 1:30 a.m. and apart from bringing out Davido, one of the highlights of the night was when the group’s head honcho, Quavo started spraying some naira notes.
In as much as the cash was flying around, fans who happened to be in front of the stage didn’t dive in as much to pick these notes.
The event, which was filled with what the ‘I just got back’ kids aged between 17 and 20 years didn’t fight for the cash as it probably isn’t of much value to them.
The bouncers in front of the stage however helped themselves to get hold of as much flying currency as they could.
Even when Quavo thought he was done spraying the cash, he had to give out the remnant of the stack (which couldn’t have been more than N5000) to one of the security men upstage.
But we did overhear some people, ‘Why dem no spray dollars? That money wen dem spray no go fit buy anything.’
Explains why many didn’t dive in to pick up the sprayed notes.
