Mayweather Responds To Rumor That McGregor Got KO’d While Sparring
“If I ain’t seen no footage, I don’t believe it.”
Yesterday afternoon video surfaced of boxer Jessie Vargas claiming that the word going around boxing circles is that Conor McGregor has already been knocked out during sparring sessions.
Vargas told Villainfy Media,
“He got knocked out in sparring already, man!” “The boxing world is small; it’s a small circle.”
“Conor’s gonna get knocked out,” Vargas told Villanfy Media. “Mayweather always lives up to the hype. I have no doubt. I actually want to put down money on it, the odds aren’t that bad. [McGregor] got knocked out in sparring already, man.”
And since the “boxing world is small,” it shouldn’t come as a surprise that these rumors have made their way to Floyd Mayweather‘s camp. However, Floyd isn’t buying it.
Speaking with Fight Hype last night, Mayweather said he won’t believe it until he sees it with his own eyes.
“My thing basically is like this: If I ain’t seen no footage, I don’t believe it,” Mayweather said. “Me and Jessie Vargas are in communication. We’re talking about working together with Mayweather Promotions. I would love to work with Jessie Vargas. We’ve been communicating. But I can’t—everything is rumors until I see it. I’m the type of person, I have to visually see it with my own eyes.”
