Man R*Pes 7-Year-Old Girl Inside A Mosque In Lagos
A man is being made to pay for his crime after he was found out to have defiled a young girl right inside a mosque.
Modiu Diallo, a 28-year-old man is alleged to have defiled a 7-year-old girl inside a mosque.
The man was on Monday arraigned in a Surulere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
According to Vanguard, the accused with no fixed address is facing a three-count charge bordering on r*pe.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Anthonia Osayande, told the court that the accused committed the offence at about 6:00a.m., on July 13, at Iponri Central Mosque, Surulere, Lagos.
He alleged that the accused carried out the act in a house of God without minding the consequences.
“It is a shameful act and that should not be condoled,” she said.
The offence contravened Sections 135 (2) and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
The Magistrate, Mrs Ekpaye Nwachukwu, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000, with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till Sept. 20 for mention.
