Man in New York suffers burns from e-cigarette exploding in his pocket
It’s not the first time such has happened.
A man in New York has suffered third degree burns after an e-cigarette in his pocket suddenly exploded while at the counter of a wine store.
He is expected to undergo surgery to treat his injuries.
Apparently, his case is not the first of its kind.
Back in February 2016, a man in Kentucky had to spend some time in the hospital after an e-cigarette blew up in his pocket.
And if at this point you’re thinking ‘Well, it can’t affect me since I don’t even use e-cigarettes’, the next bit is especially for you.
After the Kentucky incident, a teenage girl suffered injuries to her face and lower limb after an e-cigarette exploded in someone else’s possession in October.
The irony of an item created as a safer (albeit for health reasons) option proving to be not so safe after all.
To smoke regular cigarette, problem. To have, not even ‘smoke’, just have e-cigarette, still problem.
