Jhene Aiko Officially Files For Divorce From Dot Da Genius

After a brief marriage, Jhene Aiko has filed for divorce from producer Dot Da Genius.

Well, it looks like Jhene Aiko and Dot Da Genius were really married after all, for whatever it’s worth now. Back in March, there was speculation that the couple had secretly wed– followed by speculation that maybe they weren’t married after all– of course in between these two speculative reports, the singer teamed up with rapper Big Sean to form the duo TWENTY88.

Thus adding to the drama/confusion. Big Sean and Jhene Aiko immediately stirred rumors that they were a couple when they formed TWENTY88 and teamed up for the cover of Flaunt magazine, although in the cover story both parties insisted they were single– obviously we all assumed at that point that Dot was done. Whatever the case at that time, he’s most definitely done now, as Jhene has filed for divorce.

The singer reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” as the
reason for the divorce, and she’s asked the judge to deny Dot any spousal support. The two were married for eleven months.
