The internet reacts to Marco Asensio’s incredible #ElClasico goal for Real Madrid

 

One name that has stolen all of the headlines in recent months is Marco Asensio, and he has gone and done it again with a goal in the Super Copa final.

Not any goal though, a 25-yard stunner of a goal which left Barcelona goalkeeper Marc Ter Stegen stranded in between the sticks.

That gave Real Madrid a commanding 4-1 lead over their El Clasico rivals on their journey to yet another trophy.

The first leg was dominated mainly by Cristiano Ronaldo as he scored and impressed in a 3-1 win at the Camp Nou.

The player was sent off in the latter stages of the game having been booked twice, the final booking for suspected simulation.

That meant that a big performance at the Bernabeu from Real Madrid would confirm their place as Super Copa champions.

Safe to say, they have done that so far and it is that boy Marco Asensio that has give Los Blancos the lead.

This isn’t the first time Marco Asensio has impressed in a Cup Final and it certainly will not be his last.

At only the age of 21, the young Spanish star has already scored in the Champions League final and the UEFA Super Cup final.

Those came against Juventus and Manchester United as the attacking midfielder impressed in both games.

Not only that, the player has impressed on the international stage with Spain U21’s and impressed in their European Championships final.

Now, the midfielder can add a Super Copa final goal to that list after his incredible strike against Barcelona.

Safe to say, it won’t be the last incredible goal he will be celebrating in the famous white Str!p.
