I was once a talent manager – Producer, Promix

Asides music production, Promix (aka Probaba) also had a working stint as a talent manger. Speaking on the experience, he revealed that it was quite an interesting one.

“I have managed a couple of artists in the past. That was a hustle I juggled alongside music production. It was a very interesting and challenging experience.

There was this artist, his name is Meyar Oti. He was such a wonderful talent and he could really sing but it wasn’t an easy one with Meyar. I was the one producing his songs, I was creating content for his music promotion and I had to still be present for all the media activities. It was a lot but I found it interesting because of the attitude and dedication of the artist.”

Promix also revealed that he is open to take up new opportunities in talent management. He said he won’t mind investing his resources far as the artist proves to be as amazing as the one he previously managed.

He commented further on the importance of an effective management for every artist:

“I think it is the foundation for any artist to really grow, to gather a fan base especially in this digital era. These fans are the ones who will go and stream the music and in turn help to generate revenue for the artist.”
