GhozCouture bags Fashion Creativity Personality Award | @GhozCouture
The founder of GhozCouture, Mr. Grant Chigoziri Barnabas was on Friday November 6, 2015 presented with the Fashion Creativity Personality of the Year Award at the Flip Ankara Fashion Show in Owerri, Imo State.
The event which took place at Newton Hotels off Port Harcourt Road Owerri, Imo State was the maiden edition of the Ankara Fashion Show packaged by the publishers of Flip Magazine. Part of the event was the unveiling of a new issue of the magazine which was mostly dedicated to Ankara designs.
According to the Publisher of the Magazine, Mr. Felix A. Akpovwona [Jnr.], the aim of the event was to promote Ankara fashion trends for the ember months as well as recognize designers who are working tirelessly to create the trends.
Reacting to the award, Mr. Grant Chigoziri Barnabas said he is highly honoured to be crowned the Fashion Creativity Personality of the Year and dedicate the award to upcoming designers who are struggling day and night to make it to the top.
Mr. Grant described designing as a noble profession which people should uphold, cherish and respect.
“Upcoming designers should work hard, remain consistent and then believe in God to who will perfect His plans for them. Is a noble profession, people should uphold, cherish and respect it”, he said.
He further said: “There is no better employment than when your passion employs and pays you. It’s a gradual process and you can still build the empire you want to build.
“I love what I do and I am working towards finding myself at the very top by the grace of God”
After making a passionate dedication to his team and calling them his backbone, Mr. Grant went ahead to call on people to appreciate designers because they are creative people with a different calling in life.
“The person taking care of your looks should never be looked down on, because he contributes to the way you are addressed. Mad people don’t get much attention but you get because your designer has taken time to do something spectacular for you. He or she deserves that respect”, Mr. Grant concluded.
