Cristiano Ronaldo’s response to Messi winning the Ballon d’Or

Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a third straight Ballon d’Or yesterday evening – and this is the way he responded to the news that Lionel Messi had been voted as the best footballer on the planet in 2015. Barcelona genius  Messi won the title for the fifth time, beating Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Neymar in the voting. Lionel Messi brought top spot with 41.33 percent, in front of Cristiano Ronaldo with 27.76 percent. Neymar completed in third with only 7.86 percent.

It is an exceptionally unique minute for me to be back here on this stage, winning again another Ballon d’Or in the wake of arriving in the crowd watching Cristiano  win,” he said.

“It’s fantastic this is my fifth. It’s a great deal more than anything I’ve longed for as a child.

“I need to thank everybody who voted in favor of me and I need to hank my fellow team members. What’s more, ultimately, I need to thank football all in all to everything it has brought me. Both the terrible and the great. Since it has made me learn and develop.”

Prior in the night,Lionel Messi was named in the FIFPro World XI , close by  Ronaldo and Neymar.
