FG Declares 5th And 6th Of July As Public Holidays
The Federal Government has announced that Tuesday, July 5, and Wednesday, July 6, will be public holidays in celebration of the Muslim festival of Eid-el Fitri.
This was made known by the Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, in a statement released on Wednesday and signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry or Interior, Bassey Akpanyung.
The Minister called on Nigerians and Muslims to observe the benefits of Ramadan with love, peace and justice in their daily activities.
Damabazzau also noted that this was a time to reflect on the importance of unity and co-existence of Nigerians.
The Minister said: “I wish Nigerians a peaceful celebration and urge total support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s avowed determination to bequeath to the nation an enduring political legacy.”
