Cristiano Ronaldo Jr attempts overhead kick at Bernabeu after Madrid derby

Cristiano Ronaldo dropped jaws around the globe last week when he scored arguably the goal of his glittering career against Juventus in the Champions League.

The Portuguese lit up Turin with a stunning overhead kick in the quarter-final tie to help put one foot in the last four for Los Blancos.

His strike inspired millions of kids and big kids alike to dust off those boots and try the acrobatics for themselves… and none more so than his own son.

While most would have been practising their overhead kicks in their back gardens, Cristiano Jr attempted to emulate his old man on the Bernabeu turf after the Madrid derby.

Real took on Atletico bidding to close the gap to their local rivals to just a point in the race for second in La Liga behind runaway leaders Barcelona.

And they looked on course when Ronaldo fired them ahead in the second half.

But Antoine Griezmann struck for the visitors to earn a draw and maintain their four-point cushion over Real, and three-point buffer to Valencia.

Real now turn their attention to the second leg of their tie against Juventus on Wednesday evening, holding a three-goal advantage from the first match.
