capespring. POPS INTO THE SCENE WITH DEBUT EP “DUALITY.”

Connect with capespring.Friday, the 19th of June. Today sees fresh-faced recording artist capespring. make his break into the alternative music scene with the debut of his EP, “Duality”.

‘Duality’ is a 13-minute musical representation of a teenager’s struggle through fake friendships, finding confidence, and love. With a more robust, hip-hop feel, the EP’s first half aims to convey underlying feelings of tension, anger, and disappointment (particularly on the song “Gang.”)

In contrast, the EP’s second half takes on a more free-flowing, light-hearted approach in terms of production. Lyrically, it carries somber themes such as the death of a relationship in the song ‘Weight’ or longing, and uncertainty in the song ‘Testament’ is brought out.

capespring. is a 16-year old artist from Nairobi, Kenya, using music to find his way through an ever-changing world. Combining the influences of Frank Ocean, Cuco, Stromae, Daft Punk, and others, he aims to bring a unique, long-lasting sound to the table.
