Blessing Okagbare To Join Team Nigeria At All-Africa Games

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria has stated that star sprinter Blessing Okagbare will join the Nigerian contigent at the All-Africa Games.
Okagbare has rescinded her decision to not participate in the All Africa games, and will meet up with the team in Congo.
“We are expecting Okagbare and some other athletes to link up with us in Congo,” AFN technical director Omatseye Nesiama said.
Okagbare’s u-turn comes after the National Sports Commission threatened that any artistes who skipped out on the All Africa Games would be exempted from the 2016 Olympics.
Okagbare is expected to compete in three events, 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.
Other female athletes in the events are Gloria Asumnu, Stephanie Kalu, Deborah Odeyemi,Cecilia Francis and Ngozi Onwumere.
