Beenie Man Contracts Zika Virus, Says Sorry For Missing Drake’s OVO Fest
Grammy Award-winning Jamaican singer, Beenie Man, has announced that he has contracted the deadly Zika Virus, thus missing his headlining performance at OVO Fest, as a result of his inability to obtain a Canadian visa.
This revelation was brought to light by the dancehall singer on social media, as he further shared news of his condition and apologized to his fans for missing the OVO Fest in a heartfelt Instagram post.

The dancehall singer was due to headline this weekend at Drake’s OVO Fest in Toronto, but had his visa denied when Canadian officials learned of his health situation.
The Jamaican artist apologized to fans who were expecting him to perform, saying his days have been filled with “blood test[s], injections, pills.”
He also explained that he was infected with dengue virus by same mosquito that gave him the zika.
Beenie ended the post by praising Haile Selassie and affirming to his fans: “Wi a hol firm still,” captioning the image of himself laid up in bed with a nurse and vials of blood by his side.
