Barcelona to send midfielder to Arsenal as part of Bellerin deal
Spanish giants Barcelona will attempt to include midfielder Rafinha in the deal to take Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin to the Camp Nou.
Spanish return
Bellerin has long been linked with a move back to the Blaugrana, having spent his entire youth career with the club before departing for North London in 2011.
It is thought that incoming coach Ernesto Valverde has identified the pacy full-back as the ideal addition to his backline ahead of next season, though finding a deal with Arsenal has been problematic.
Makeweight
Hence, the Catalunyans have reportedly offered up versatile midfielder Rafinha Alcantara to the Gunners, in the hopes that the hefty demands of Arsene Wenger and co. can be lowered.
Rafinha, a twice-capped Brazilian international and brother of Bayern Munich star Thiago, can play anywhere across the midfield, as well as on the wings of an attacking trident.
He was even utilised as a makeshift full-back by the La Liga giants at times this season.
Potential agreement
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would consider such a deal, with the Premier League side desperate not to lose any of their star players this summer.
However, Spanish outlet Marca have today revealed that Arsenal are in fact interested in Rafinha, suggesting the inclusion of the Selecao man in the agreement could prove influential.
