Andres Iniesta has officially taken to the pitch for the final time as a Barcelona player, following the Blaugrana’s 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad.
Legendary career
Following the 90 minutes in Catalunya, Barcelona ran out 1-0 winners, courtesy of a stunning long-range strike from Philippe Coutinho.
However, tonight was about so much more than the result for the Blaugrana, as Andres Iniesta brought to an end his illustrious, trophy-laden playing days with the club.
Iniesta, regarded by many to be one of the greatest midfielders of all-time, has spent his entire career to date donning the colours of Barca, having first broken into the club’s first-team as a youngster in 2002.
He has since gone on to rack up 32 trophies over the course of his time at the Camp Nou, including an incredible 9 La Liga titles and 4 Champions Leagues.
