Aguero Injured in Car Crash, to Miss Chelsea Game

Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, has been involved in a car accident, according to multiple reports.

The incident took place in Amsterdam, Holland, with Aguero inside a taxi heading to the airport, after attending a concert.

According to reports, the Argentine who was wearing his seat belt, suffered broken ribs as a result of the crash, in which the taxi carrying the City star apparently hit a pole.

Dutch police have confirmed to Sky Sports News, that two people had been taken to hospital, but did not disclose the identity of the individuals.

Aguero’s former club Independiente seemingly confirmed the news with a tweet wishing the forward well, saying: “Strength and quick recovery. All Independiente is with you in this difficult time”.

The reports claim that Aguero will be out of action for an extended period of time, although there has as yet been no official confirmation from either Manchester City or the Argentina national team.

The player will most likely miss this weekend’s clash at Chelsea.
